It is a national holiday, and you look up Google Maps online, and it says that the hour presented online might vary due to a national holiday. How do you know if that place is open?
Call the business
The most effective way to find out said information is to call. You can usually get said information from their website or social media accounts. They might not answer immediately but should call you back. If they don’t call you back, most likely it is closed. How can you find out their phone number? Google Maps!
Do they speak English?
Most likely you will be going to the central part of town or a restaurant. Most people working in the service industry will know English. The places where people will not speak English are usually the places that never take reservations.
Should I send them an email ?
Hell no! If someone answers your emails, that means that business is amazing. Most restaurants will not use emails in their customer relations.
Hotels and spas usually use emails and should answer promptly.
Should I make reservations for restaurants?
If it is the weekend, we strongly suggest you make a reservation. If it is a fine dining restaurant, again I suggest making a reservation. If you have a large group also, I suggest the same thing. If you don’t have a backup spot nearby in case it’s full, make a reservation. And if you want to see a particular football game at one of the Bucharest sports bars, I suggest making a reservation.
ialoc – Website for reservations
Quite a few restaurants use the services of ialoc in order to get reservations from people wanting to eat out. It is a good way of getting a table without having to talk to anyone. What you should know is that ialoc get money out of any reservations and DraculasguidetoRomania encourages you to bypass middlemen.
