If Aries is the Warrior rushing up the mountain, Taurus is the Epicurean who prefers to admire the mountain from a plush chair with a glass of fine wine. Ruled by Venus (the planet of beauty, love, and luxury), Taurus is a grounded Earth sign. They are the ultimate lovers of comfort, sensory pleasures, and high-quality experiences. They despise being rushed. A Taurus wants “slow travel,” delicious food, and beautiful, serene environments.
Here are the best places to visit in Romania for a Taurus.
1. The Dealu Mare Wine Region (Prahova & Buzău)
Taurus is the biggest foodie and wine connoisseur of the zodiac. They experience the world through their senses (taste and smell, especially).
- Why visit: Known as the “Tuscany of Romania,” this region is packed with premium wineries (like Lacerta, Tohani, or Budureasca). A Taurus will be in absolute heaven doing slow-paced wine tastings, eating gourmet local cheeses, and gazing out over the sun-drenched vineyards without ever having to break a sweat.
- The Vibe: Indulgent, delicious, and sensory.
Dracula’s perspective: This is a really good choice, there are many wine locations around Bucharest (1 or 2 hours away) where you can go to a chalet or complex for wine tastings in a really nice and glamorous location. You need to type in crama, domeniile or in English winery. Here are some links in Romanian for places where to go for wine tastings and provide accomodation Restograf , CalatorulMultumit.
2. Zabola Estate (Covasna County)
As an Earth sign, Taurus loves nature, but because they are ruled by Venus, they refuse to rough it. They want nature combined with luxury.
- Why visit: This historic Transylvanian aristocratic estate offers exactly that. Located in the middle of a pristine forest, it features clawfoot tubs, crackling fireplaces, antique furniture, and breakfast brought to your room. It is the perfect cozy, high-end hideaway for a Taurus to recharge.
- The Vibe: Luxurious, grounded, and aristocratic.
Dracula: Ok not going to lie, don’t know much about luxury… In Bucharest the most fancy hotel is the Grand Hotel Bucharest, The Marmarosch is my favorite one in terms of design and story. Raven’s nest would be next on my list for rustic design and glamour.

3. Valea Verde Retreat (Cund, Mureș County)
Taurus rules over the earth, agriculture, and physical sustenance. They appreciate farm-to-table concepts and rich, earthy flavors.
- Why visit: Valea Verde is famous for its slow-food philosophy and culinary experiences. A Taurus will absolutely love the experience of truffle hunting in the wild Transylvanian forests, followed by a multi-course gourmet dinner prepared with those very truffles. It’s an immersive, mouth-watering experience.
- The Vibe: Culinary, earthy, and slow-paced.
Previous reccomendations apply.
4. Viscri Village (Brașov County)
Taurus values authenticity, craftsmanship, and things that are made with care and patience. They hate the chaotic energy of big, noisy cities.
- Why visit: Viscri is the epitome of “slow living.” A Taurus will love walking the unpaved roads, buying handmade wool socks from the locals, and eating organic, homemade bread and jams. The peaceful, pastoral atmosphere is incredibly soothing to their nervous system.
- The Vibe: Cozy, authentic, and pastoral.
I personally prefer the less popular town that also have some fascinating accomodations: Saschiz, Crit, Mesendorf or type in fortified churches of Transylvania. Personally I would go to Rimetea on my next trip.
5. Cantacuzino Castle (Bușteni)
Taurus appreciates stunning architecture and breathtaking views, provided they can enjoy them in comfort.
- Why visit: Instead of hiking up the Bucegi Mountains like an Aries or Capricorn, a Taurus prefers to admire them from the terrace of Cantacuzino Castle. Sipping a premium coffee or having lunch at the castle’s restaurant while taking in the majestic, panoramic view of the Caraiman Peak is the exact level of effort a Taurus likes on a vacation.
- The Vibe: Scenic, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing.
From my persepctive this place was filmed Wednesday and looks nice, but the most impressive one is also the most crowded one, Peles Castle. There are no restaurants inside, but opulence is key here.
