Dracula, the master of darkness (initially I wrote it “drakness,” which sounds like “devilish” in Romanian), is here to assist you in your music needs. I made a list that will ensure that you will not get pop music anywhere close to your eardrums.
Quantic – Family friendly metal/ hard rock pub that also organises concerts
Quantic has appeared multiple times on Draculasguidetoromania due to the number of cool concerts that they have. Also, if there is no concert on that day, the music sticks around hard rock. Chill atmosphere where quite a few families come to hang out together. Food is generic pub food, but the prices are decent for Bucharest.

Private Hell – Old Town
If you are in Old Town and are tired of the usual overstimulation, Private Hell is here to cleanse your touristy palate at one of the oldest and most iconic metal/rock places in town.

Trei Betivi – More of a metal cultural hub
This location is quite small and focuses more on underground music, screening, and events. Most of the content is related to rock in one way or another.

Hard Rock Cafe – The international brand you know what to expect
I personally prefer coming here if there are concerts or when there are World Cup football games. But if you are ok with spending a bit extra, this location is in the Herastrau Park and is the perfect location to cool down during the summer and enjoy hard rock.

There are other locations like Club Underworld, but I haven’t been there for a while, so I don’t know if it’s still functional, and there are some other places that are not entirely rock places and also don’t have a lot of social media updates. But these pubs I know are active, have events, and are waiting for you in Bucharest.
