New Years Eve Celebrations in Comanesti
Romanians have multiple winter traditions where people dress up as different entities and they go out in town going to people’s houses, wishing everyone a better new year and most importantly warding off evils spirits.
The Bear Dance of Comanesti – is one of the largest masked festivals in Romania and it gathers thousands of people. It is usually hosted in the central park of the city on the 30th of December.

These are festivals that combine classical music with other types of music. So if you are looking for outdoor concerts, this is one of the things you can experience. Last year (2024) it was held 30, 31 and 1st of September.
