Advantages:

  • Easy access from Bucharest.
  • You can avoid the weekend traffic jams by taking the train.
  • It is not a busy ski slope.

Disadvantages:

  • The weather changes quite often and high winds might cancel the day you want to go skiing
  • It gets crowded during the weekends.
  • Difficult to get there by car during the weekends
  • Train reservations should be done a couple days in advance (avoid school breaks, usually start of January to mid-February)

  1. That looks fabulous. I was at a ski resort I believe is close by, Poiana Brasov, but it was summer so no skiing. But we took the gondola.

    1. Sinaia is nice for hiking in the Summer, but in terms of summer views there is Busteni which tops it off with amazing scenery. You get to see babele and sthe sfinx. Rock formations carved by the wind. Should write an article about it.
