Advantages

  • Best ski slope in Romania according to skiresort.info.
  • Due to the difficulty of getting here, the ski slope is not crowded

  • Best financial value deal

Disadvantages

  • Road infrastructure is not the best.

A quaint mountain resort located next to the Straja peak, it is situated above 1400 m and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Location: Google Maps - 3 hours away from Craiova or Sibiu by car. A bit too complicated by other means.

Pro tips: use local drivers (your accommodation will help you out) or the gondola from the bottom of the resort. Finding parking at the top is going to be a hassle, and it will also involve quite a bit of walking)

Where to get the information that you need:

Quality of the ski slopes:

  • Pricing: 160 lei/day ( 33 euros)
    • There are more pricing options for the amount of hours, credit, and multiple days here.

Pro tip: If you are staying in Lupeni and have access to the gondola, the price of the ski lifts per day includes the gondola up to Straja.
