1st of December is a national holiday, commemorating one of the most important unifications in Romanian history.
What to expect in Bucharest?
More than 1,500 military personnel and specialists, along with 130 vehicles, including 40 aircraft, will participate in Romania’s National Day Military Parade on December 1st at Triumph Square, announced the Ministry of National Defense.
Foreign military units from Belgium, France, North Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, the United States, and the Netherlands, totaling around 150 personnel and 23 vehicles, will also join.
On the 1st of December from 11:00 – 14:00, the military parade will be on display in front of Triumphal Arch (Arcul de Triumf)
Traffic measures for the parade and a rehearsal on November 28th will be implemented, and military ceremonies will occur in garrisons and operational theaters.

What to expect in other cities?
Overflights with military aircraft are scheduled for various cities from November 24 to 30, so expect to see military planes in the sky.
Cities where you can see military planes: Sinaia, Constanţa, Alba Iulia, Mediaş, Câmpia Turzii, Turda, Cluj-Napoca, Şimleu Silvaniei, Ungheni, Sighişoara, Zalău, Târgu Jiu, Feteşti, Slobozia, Călăraşi, Buzău, Bacău, and Iaşi.
In Suceava and Alba Iulia, free food will be offered to those participating in the event.
Pro tip: If you are in Alba Iulia, that is where the heart of the festivities will be located, as it was the place where the unification was signed into being. Just know it is going to be very crowded! Dracula prefers Bucharest as it is emptier because most people tend to leave the city when there is a long weekend.
