Schedule

  • The metro trains schedule operate between 5:00-23:00
  • The last metro train starts at 23:00 from the end Line stations, and on Piaţa Unirii 1 and Piaţa Unirii 2, the operation is on hold until the transfer of the passengers between lines 1, 3, and 2 is completed. 

Which is the best line?

  • If you want to get quickly to most points of interest, M2 is your best option. You can easily access Piata Romana, Piata Unirii, Universitate, Piata Victoriei & Aviatorilor
  • M1 is the second best in my opinion and is less crowded than M2
  • M4-M5 are less frequent

Also, not all the lines are completed, there is no metro that takes you to the airport, even though it appears on the map. Lines that are dotted are not functional!

Prices

Payment can be done at the ticket booths by card and cash, or card on the ticket machine. Pro tip: you can also pay by card directly at the gate entrance.

Metro tickets do not come together with surface transport, you can purchase special tickets for both but make sure you ask.
