The more Dracula is writing about Bucovina the more he realizes how beautiful it is! Top things to do in Suceava county coming your way.

Sucevita Monastery

One of the famous painted Monasteries of Bucovina UNESCO Heritage Site was finished in 1586 , colourful and well preserved it attracts many tourists and pilgrims alike. If you are traveling on Via Transilvanica this is one of the stops. As I was hiking this route I was offered traditional food for the fasting period by one of the nuns. If you are religious or just want to sleep over you can do so here. Pro tip: if you are vegan before any important holiday they make amazing vegan food for lent! It will blow your mind.

Cacica Salt Mine

Built by the Polish minority of Bucovina this place is filled with history and it has its own specific vibe. Go down, experience the smell of salt and petrol, and imagine how hard it was to extract the salt. It still functions as a mine but you will not see the production.
