I am a tour guide in Bucharest, the tour guiding company that I work for is BTripBucharest, and I know the number of guided tours available in Bucharest and how daunting it can be to find something interesting. In my opinion, what makes a guided tour good is the tour guides, so I do suggest you book tours that you read some reviews for and if possible, through their websites directly to not have to pay 20-30% to big websites.
1.Sexy, Scandalous, Deadly Bucharest
If you are looking for a guided tour that involves going out for drinks and finding out about real-life vampires, the roaring 20’s and one of the craziest manhunts in history, I recommend this tour. Also I have worked for 2 years on creating this tour, researched stories, found the best route to combine adventure and a path for a crazy, scandalous, terrifying and darkly funny tour.

2. Private Communist Tour of Bucharest with Dacia
Imagine going on a guided tour in one of the most iconic Romanian cars in history, the trusty Dacia car. A true symbol of the communist regime and the car that brought many fond memories for many Romanian families going on vacation. I had friends that did the tour, so what to expect is this: you can drive if you book the right tour, the drivers are hired for the day, and only at stops will you have a tour guide presenting the tour. The tours are fun if you are with friends, listen to music, and enjoy the view.

3.Bucharest City Tour: Hot Rod Tour
Drive a hot rod in Bucharest… I don’t think there is much more to say about this.

4. Bike the city
I know the tour guides as we start tours in a similar location. It is a fun tour for those that love riding bikes and getting to know the history of the city.

5.Grafitti Tour of Bucharest
There are multiple companies that offer tours, but I recommend what I know, and I have amazing colleagues passionate about the history and styles of graffiti offered by the city of Bucharest. Bucharest has gone through regime changes, and there are communist propaganda paintings still in the city, graffiti from the revolution, and modern-day pieces of art promoting the new history of the city. It is a journey of stories, and it is an experience that you shouldn’t miss in Bucharest.
