It is difficult to find a place in Old Town Bucharest where to exchange foreign currency at a decent price, so here are a few tips for the best way to exchange currency in Bucharest.

1. Romania uses the Leu as a national currency and the best currency to exchange is the Euro.
Usually, other currencies are a bit more expensive to exchange.

2. There are places where you should not exchange currencies:
Where not to exchange?
- Airport (this is the worst)
- Old Town (hard to find a good place to exchange in Old Town)
- Highly circulated intersections (usually the worst exchange rates are found here)
3. Where to exchange?
As a tourist, you should exchange on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard. Here are some suggestions, but my pro tip is to window shop for the best offer because all of the locations below are really, really close to each other:
Zaza exchange
- The place where Dracula has done the most exchanges
- Location: Google Maps
Innova Euroex
- Second best
- Location: Google Maps
MoneyGram
- Usually not the best offers but on some days best in town
- Location: Google Maps
