This time Dracula found places that open as early as possible. It is still a daunting task considering how late people in Bucharest open, but we do what we can with the resources at our disposal.

Crocant – opens 8:00 AM weekdays / 9:00 AM weekends (Vegetarian options / too few vegan options)

One of the coolest things about Crocant is the fact that they combine Romanian ingredients with nice brunch international foods (eggs recipes, avocado recipes, tarts and all the good stuff). It is recommended to go during the summer as it has a terrace and is less crowded. It is not very close to Old Town but it is worth the 2 metro stops.

Twenty Eight Cafe – opens at 8 AM (limited food options in general but plenty of desserts, Vegetarian options)

Dracula prefers this place in the evening for obvious reasons, but surprisingly it is open very early at 8:00 AM. It has cool Turkish vibes and small snacks that you can enjoy with your morning coffee. They have a variety of desserts and some food options, they change the snack options so it might depend on the day what you get. It is not located in the Old Town but it is close enough.

Hanu Berarilor: Casa Oprea Soare (opens at 8:00 AM, some Vegetarian options)

Located in a beautiful historical building really close to Old Town, it just gives that old Little Paris vibes that Bucharest used to have. If you want to experience some traditional Romanian food this is the place to go to, and they have a breakfast menu. The terrace is nice but for the full experience, you would need to go indoors.

Subway ( closed 4:00 AM – 5:00 AM, Vegan and Vegetarian options available)

Dracula doesn’t really like to recommend fast food places, but this place is in Old Town and is open 23 hours a day, so if you arrive in Bucharest at an odd hour this is one of the few spots where you can eat and figure stuff out. I don’t think I will be getting ads from Subway with this type of review…

The Coffee Factory (opens at 8 am, just coffee)

Close to Old Town, and really close to Cismigiu Park, this place has coffee and a garden. The coffee is good and it’s a nice place to gather your thoughts while planning out your day.
