I’m super excited that we have a concert dedicated to people who don’t have access to spaces like everyone else. A concert may seem accessible, but in order to attend, you need to be able to move around, to enter a room you need to see, and in order to enjoy the intensity of the music you need to manage your emotions. So concerts that are made accesibile to everyone are fundamental to making everyone feel welcome.
Sunday, June 18th is the “NuStauAcasa” (I Don’t Stay Home) disability-friendly concert.
Location: Bucharest, Expirat Halele Carol. Free entry for people with disabilities and companions (recommended up to 3 people). Google Maps

The concert has no bright lights, and the sound intensity is reduced. There will be a sign language interpreter. Frequent breaks every approximately 30 minutes minutes. Drum workshops, activities assisted by puppies, and caricaturist present. For people with motor disabilities, there are necessary adapted facilities for easy access.
For more details, find more information here (unfortunately it is in Romanian): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nWydzMJYJSoVikZF5ZmbwKX-fniYcmZg/edit?fbclid=IwAR2dJmgOCid-Vh98LUEw8ifIJvTj_VSMvqSFzO7KPGjpm3v5XydogEASCuI
Someone who attended last year said: “As typical individuals, only by seeing what a space truly adapted to the needs of people with disabilities looks like can we become aware of the logistics behind their everyday lives. At the same time, it reminds us of how weak the infrastructure in Bucharest is in this regard, and it’s an invitation for us to collectively think more about how we can shape our city to include everyone.”
In my opinion, the most beautiful thing in life is knowing that everyone has access to entertainment. We’re here to have a good time together, and we can also help those around us.
