Harghita is a more underrated place to travel. Hungarian minority area with many interesting buildings and a lot of hidden gems just awaiting to be explored.
Messendorf fortified church
Transylvania has many fortified churches and I share them quite often as, I find out that there are far more than I expected. Transylvania was heavily fortified due to Ottoman incursions on the teritory. While other Romanian teritories were less fortified and designated more of a buffer zone.

Ok, I haven’t fact checked or researched properly but according to this Instagram user this beautiful tree is the oldest and to find it you need to go… here.
