Vama – Perfect without you

An ultimate classic, go to the seaside, turn this on, and people might sing along. This song is about a breakupand how life is much better without the other person.

Connect-R – I don’t sleep during the Summer

One of the most iconic summer hits all about going to the seaside, curing sunburns with a type of yoghurt (sana) and relaxing with a beer and friends. I listened to this song so many times it is hard to listen on repeat.

Dj Project feat Giulia – I miss you

It doesn’t talk much about summer, but it is usually associated with summer, as it was a hit and you would dance.

Theo Rose x DOMINO x Alessandra – Not Going to the Club

Song that uses Romanian folk elements with electronic music elements. The lyrics are quite funny as she talk about how she is working and not going to the club to party. Also she casts a curse “Those that didn’t anything all day may fall in their wine”, which to be honest is not the worse curse that I have heard.

Jurjak – Whispers

Jurjak has plenty of interesting songs but this song is so good for driving, especially to the seaside.

Lux Machina – Luxury Thug

It is a true imersion into the absurd, just like dealing with high temperatures. This song is about how two thugs found each other, while the lyrics are just a summer fever dream. Who is more charming than satan is one of the pieces of lyrics, cut off one of my heads and 2 others are going to pop up or my favorite where did you come from? Heaven? Where you and Satan used to run together.

Alex Velea – Time Waster (exact translation:Waster of Summer)

They call me a time waster, with everyone outside, going from terrace to terrace, night after night. Following the previous lyrics, this song definitely sets the tone for relaxing. Work is for being productive, but when it’s hot outside… who wants to be productive?!?

B.U.G Mafia – On the coast

One of the top hip-hop bands talking about going to the seaside, enjoying the vacation, early mornings and partying.

Brain Potion x Dj Dash – Urban Moment

Imagine a very hot day in Bucharest, the asphalt melting, listening to music after returning from a beer.

Kio ft What’s UP – Smells like Summer

A song about a man swearing fidelity to a lady that is not looking for a relationship, showcasing red flags constantly. At the same time the chorus talks about him gazing upon many women depicted as flowers. I’m not a psychologist, but it seems like they deserve each other.

David Ciente x Irina Rimes – Ielele

Song that combines party music and Romanian traditional music just a perfect summer jam. “Ielele” are a mythical Romanian creatures that apear as beautiful women that, if appeased bring proseprity if not disasters. Sounds like a summer party.

Unu vs Georgescu Nicolescu – Song for the health of grass

This song is iconic, many Romanians know this song, and the funny part is that this song is about grass. Yes, it talks about the fact that we also need grass, the video is about cutting grass, and it talks about where you can find actual grass. Could it be talking about something else? I might have an answer for that, but when it was released, the other grass wasn’t well known other than in the hip-hop scene.

Parazitii feat Mr. Levy – It’s burning

What is burning? Well, it’s something illegal to smoke in Romania. They sing about smoking and challenging the police to do something about it. The funny bit is that it is so catchy and on the nose, if you hear this song in the club, everyone knows it, and everyone will sing with it, whether they smoke what they are not supposed to or not.

INNA – You and Me

Young love and the seaside a constant classic.

rares – Happiest person on Earth

Song about young love, always a great summer hit. But the thing that really sparks the summer in the song is the traveling part of the video.

Delia feat. Speak – Of Mamaia

Mamaia is a seaside resort, and some families use the word to describe grandma. This song plays a bit on the words but talks about the seaside and summer vibes.

Parlament – Summer is coming

A song focused on the summer vibes of terraces, drinks and young supperficial love.

Phoenix – Wedding

This song has more of a party vibe with rock and folk influences. Usually folk music during communism was the only type of music where you can talk about rebels and overthrowing opressors, most famous folk events were usually at the seaside.

Sarmalele Reci – Summer Spirit

I think just watching the video will make it clear what this song is all about.

Andre – Let me daddy go to the seaside

It was the 2000’s any youngster with a video camera could go to the seaside for a couple days, make a music video, get a studio to publish it and appear on TV. The music that has come out is not what I would call the best but defintately very memorable. Just a pinch of the music: “Daddy let me go to the seaside, I want fun and plenty of sun, I have fallen in love, I have discovered what love is. ” I really hope her father was responsible and made sure he explained that young love is very superficial.

Vita de Vie – Crank up the sound

“Crank up the sound, put your head in the speaker”. Fun song to drive on, party on and share with your friends.

Azur – The girl on the beach

“When the sun comes out, girls go out on the beach” – A song about a young man wanting to ask someone out.

Connect-R – The Young Woman from the Countryside

Most of the song is describing the beauty of the desired person. Also Connect-r is an expert of summer vibes this is why he gets a repeat recognition.

Florin Salam – Saint Tropez

A song inspired from an older song but it’s all about vacations, traveling, taking care of yourself and how beautiful life is. There are plenty of manele that will inspire you to party during the summer.

Blacklist feat Carla’s Dreams – Tequila

Love and tequila is what summer is all about?

Lux Machina – Flight

Old sounds, new music and summer vibes.
