It’s still hot outiside time to coold down! Mountains or the seaside is the way to go!

Skywalk Rarau

I am from the region of Bucovina so knowing that there is an extra place to get amazing views just makes me happy.

Brasov the city of cold air

When I think of a place to cool down close to Bucharest this is the place that I am thinking of. The only drawback is that during the weekends everyone from Bucharest is here… (said the person from Bucharest)

Sighisoara – Suposedly the birth place of Dracula

Most likely it is not the birth place of our little vampire but it is one of the more interesting cities in Romania, a former medieval fortress today hosts festivals, good food and a vibrant cultural heritage. It is one of the most visited cities today but from Sighioara you can explore some fascinating location.

Archita – One of the fortified churches of Transylvania

Archita is one of those places off the beaten path where you can experience a bit of peace and quiet, it is accessible by car and train and will take you on an adventure. If you are looking for some accommodation there, I stayed over at Casa Archita 169 where I had some really delicious food and friendly hospitality. Not to mention that you have the fortified church Archita that is part of the famous fortified churches if Transylvania.

Cheile Dobrogei – For those traveling to the seaside

If you want to see the last stages of development of a canyon, basically this is it. This is the opposite of the Grand Canyon and offers a more mild canyon experience, you might see people coming here for barbecues, but I love this place as somewhere to have a snack and enjoy the view just before you reach the seaside.
