Fun fact I am doing my second university degree (Geography of Tourism) at the University of Bucharest, so I didn’t have a lot of time to write but kept saving interesting snippets about Romania to share with you.

You can’t visit Romania and not try the magical: Papanași

I think the video speaks for itself:

Urban Art in Buhcarest – The House with closed eyes

The inspiration comes from the city of Sibiu where houses look like they have eyes. So I feel that this is a play on that experience. Bucharest is amazing for street art, having some urban art and political art for more than 60 years. Of course the modern pieces are the most impressive just like the one bellow:

Where to find it? Google Maps Not the first entrance, but you will need to go around the building or join a urban art tour, link at the end.

The famous wodden Churches

In the region of Maramures, and not only there, you can find some exquisite wooden churches over 50 meters tall. The one you can see bellow, I think is Barsana Monastery.

The best restored city in Romania – Oradea

If you ask a Romanian what is the most beautiful city in Romania a lot will say Oradea due to the love and care placed in the restauration of the city and currently a touristic hot spot for Romanians.

How is life for youngsters in Buchaerst?

I think seeing how youngsters live their lives gives you a sense of the culture and at least some optimism and nostalgia.
