A history of passion and musical genius in a fantastic and refined event in Bucharest!

“QUINTETO ASTOR PIAZZOLLA,” the renowned ensemble founded by Astor Piazzolla, which preserves the pure sound created by the brilliant Argentine composer, will perform in Romania for the first time at the end of spring, on May 31, 2025, at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.

This remarkable event will begin at 8:00 PM, with doors opening to the public at 6:30 PM!

Following the passing of the famous Argentine composer and bandoneonist, his wife, Laura Escalada Piazzolla, founded the Astor Piazzolla Foundation and continued the core mission of the “Quintet” to preserve and promote the master’s artistic legacy.”

  • It will take you around 24 minutes by foot from Piata Unirii metro if you do not want to switch to the blue metro line
