Sempervivum is the generic name that brings together almost 40 species known for being evergreen. The plants have a star-shaped rosette appearance, formed by fleshy, bright green leaves arranged concentrically around a center. The name comes from Latin and means “always living plant.” Freshness and vitality represent the two elements that Sempervivum and old music have in common. This music has survived through the centuries, constituting today a living cultural heritage, covering more than a millennium of music in Europe. Even though those who created these refined musical jewels are no longer in this world, the sounds have remained over time, encrypted in musical semiotics full of subtle and seductive messages.
