Advantages:

- You can reach it by public transportation
- Close to the city of Brasov (4 hours to get there from Bucharest by public transport)
- It is the largest ski resort in Romania
- You will find all the facilities that you need (apres-ski, nice accommodations, equipment rentals and ski instructors)
Disadvantages:
- During the weekend or holidays, the resort is at full capacity
- Traffic is intense during holidays and weekends
- You can’t compare to some countries that have skiing in their DNA (the facilities might not be top-notch).

Located on the Postavarul Mountain Range, the Poiana Brasov ski resort is one of the oldest in the country, having opened in 1906.
Location: Google Maps, Brasov county 25 minutes from Old Town in Brasov with public transport or 1 hour and 20 minutes from Brasov Airport.
Pro tip: take Bolt or Uber (ride sharing apps) if you want to save time. If are carrying skiing equipment best thing to do is call a taxi company and ask for drivers that can carry ski equipment.
