Dracula is here with the best recommendations, only one small catch, most of them are written in Romanian, but going you will learn a cool trick in Google Chrome. Go to a foreign language site and next to the star on the upper right hand corner of the screen press the translate page button thing (it has some letters and now you can read! How to translate in different browsers: Chrome , Mozilla Firefox , Mac , Opera .

Most of these recommendations are for a deep dive into Romanian traveling, you can find places that Romanians don’t know they exist!

lipa-lipa – A couple traveling

Couples that travel together, stay together and this couple has a child now and is still traveling strong! I really like their recommendations and they are very thorough in their explanations. They have been writing for a long time and usually come up with things that I never thought of searching. Overall Dracula’s favorite source of getting information.

Calatori in bascheti – Journalists that also love to travel

They are precise in the style of writing and guide you towards some very fascinating objectives. Don’t know why they are second place. But to be honest I do so much research I end up combining both lipa-lipa and calatori in bascheti for my vacation plans. Have a look and you will find many recommendations.

instatravel.ro – Dracula’s recent discovery

Their site is just the way Dracula likes it, simple, easy to use and on point. More of a recent discovery, it is not yet in Dracula’s arsenal of tools on finding places to visit but it is getting there.

DiscoverDobrogea – Region Specific Site for Dobrogea

It is specific for the Dobrogea area, where you get the seaside, Danube Delta, the old ruins (Greek, Roman, medieval etc.) and a plethora of minorities (Turkish, Tatar, Russian-lipoveni). It is its own universe of nature and culture presented very well. I don’t know who runs the site but it is in Romanian, English, French, Italian and Turkish, and the articles are really well thought of.

Romanian Friend – Tour Guide

One of the English language sites, very well condensed information dedicated to tourists, it is also a tour agency offering tours but the information is well written, more of an overview of things to do. It is more geared towards tourists, in essence something similar that Dracula is trying to do.
