Fasole Bătute – Beaten Beans or garlic bean paste (Vegan)

Dracula hates this receipe it has a lot of garlic in it…

Ciorbă de burtă – Tripe soup or stomach lining soup

Sounds terrible, but Romanians love this, if you want to impress the parents of your partner this is the way to go. Unfortunately not everyone can handle it… it takes a strong stomach…

Papanași – Deep fried doughnuts stuffed with sweet cheese (Vegetarian)

It is amazing, in the video it is made with sour cherry which is the way I like it but if you want it the most authentic way, Romanian blueberry jam.

Mucenici – Sweet bread with sugar syrup (Vegetarian)

This receipe is specific for the Moldova region and are made once a year to celebrate Forty Martyrs of Sebaste a christian holiday. There is a massive debate in Romania on which are the best, the ones in the video bellow or these ones ( link )

Boeuf Salad

In the west it is called Russian Salad, Olivier Salad, salade a la Rouse or that really tasty potato salad. Technically speaking not Romanian but it is an integral part of holidays like Easter and Christmas. It is common in former communist countries and Romanians love it!
