Are places open before 10 AM?
The answer is yes but you might not like the cavities… Bucharest is not a very morning city and most restaurants open after 10 AM so finding a good place to eat out an early breakfast is a bit more complicated. But Dracula is here to help you, he understands your struggle as someone who came to Bucharest from a different part of the country.
Caru’ cu Bere – opens at 9:00 AM (some traditional vegan options)
It is located in a historical building in Old Town, it appears in all the google searches as one of the most visited places in Bucharest, the architecture is amazing and the food is good. In the afternoon it is hard to find a table so we recommend being an early bird.

M60 – opens at 8:00 AM (Vegan Vegetarian options)
First of all, they have really good coffee, so it is a good way to start your day. The breakfast options hit the right foody spot, with a wide variety of dishes from all over the world. They can adapt to your food requirements and have really nice sweets. The disadvantage is that it is not in the Old Town but a 15 minutes walk. I would say this is the perfect way to start your day.

Trofic – opens at 8:00 AM (some vegan options)
This place makes a lot of egg-based dishes, nice sandwiches, and morning sweet treats. Definitely a place for food lovers with not a lot of vegan options. The coffee is really good and the location is not very far from the old center just a few minutes away.

Grand Cafe Van Gogh – opens at 8:30 AM (some vegan options)
The place looks nice and is as central as central can be (next to the National Bank). If you need a place not to walk too far away from the center this is a really good option. The food is good if you don’t feel like walking too far away.

Frudisiac – opens at 8:00 AM (Vegan / Vegetarian options)
I go here for the shakshuka and the Turkish style eggs, but most of their food is tasty and a fun place for foodies who love Nordic cuisine and coffee. Also if you show up before 10:00 you will find a spot to have a nice breakfast. During the summer they open their terrace and it is one of my favorite ways to start the day.
