Why go to the Opera in Italy when you can go in Romania?

Doesn’t seem like the most intuitive thing to do but, Dracula likes going to the opera, and guess what, a lot of foreigners come here to experience the opera. So I have some reasons why you might want to try the Romanian opera versus the one in Italy. PROS: Cons: Image by frimufilms on Freepik

Doesn’t seem like the most intuitive thing to do but, Dracula likes going to the opera, and guess what, a lot of foreigners come here to experience the opera. So I have some reasons why you might want to try the Romanian opera versus the one in Italy.

PROS:

  • Romanian is a romance language so our accents are spot on point.
  • You can find better ticket prices than in Italy.
  • Romanians speak good English overall, so it will be easy to communicate to staff.
  • You can take the metro to the National Opera.
  • Bucharest is a more affordable destination than Italy.

Cons:

  • It is not Italy.
  • Subtitles will be in Romanian.
  • Popular shows will be booked very quickly (not common but it can happen).
